Jaffa Street Residences

A 10-story 70 unit residential building situated on the main street of Jerusalem. At the heart of the project lies the intent to stress the fact that the building is a residential building – as opposed to the many public buildings in its surroundings.
Since the requirement was that each of the units in the building have a balcony intended for a Sukkah during the holiday, the religious rules and regulations were used as a starting parameter for the design of the building. This produced a complex three-dimensional form underlining the residential character of the building, and in which every unit is unique.
